SCCM CB 1706 has very good new feature that is called script.
script is very good feature to collect some certain data from some a computer or set of computers or you can trigger some actions on any computer.
for example if you want to initiate full hardware inventory on a computer then you need to create one Powershell script and deploy it on a machine, that's it and your work is done.
you might have question in your mind how to do it. OK let's do it now.
first you need to go to software library and navigate the Script. (here i am assuming you have upgraded your SCCM to SCCM CB 1706 and enabled the feature of Script. )
Now Right click on scripts and click on create script
here is the section script name give the name of script what ever you wan to give.
in the body you can paste your script here. or if you have any script then you can import here.
then click on next and close it. now your script is ready to deploy on the machine.
you would have notice one thing that script requires for approval, so you might have to login your SCCM console with service account and click on approve.
now go to machine where you want to deploy the script.
right click on machine click on Run Script or you can Run the script on collection as well.
Once you click on Run Script it will open a new window where you can see all the created script, just select one which you want to deploy/Run and click on Next, Next and close it.
now your script has been deployed on computer and within few minutes you will have the result.
